Chatting online is a waste of money, energy and time. Worse still, some bad people cheat young students online. News from newspapers comes to us often that strangers in different cities meet in reality after some time of online chatting. Students know little about the society and they don’t know how to protect themselves.

　　On the whole, online chatting has bad effects on middle school students. It is better for them to make friends in reality rather than online.

　　To Close All the Internet Bars or Not

　　In recent years, more and more students are addicted in the Internet. Some people come up with the idea of closing Internet bars. As to this question, our school held a discussion over it among the teachers, parents and students. Different people have different ideas.

　　Some people support this idea. They think it is necessary to close all the Internet bars. Many students are addicted in the Internet, which has a bad effect on their study. Besides, the Internet is full of sexy and violence. Worse still, some students are so young that they are likely to be cheated by net friends.

　　Other people have different opinions. It is necessary for students to learn how to use computers and the Internet, which is one of the basic skills of modern people. They can find useful information about study online. Moreover, the Internet is a good tool for people to communicate with others all over the world.

　　I think the solution is that students should learn how to make good use of the Internet.
