AEIS作文：不一样的时间表达方法

　　对于很多考生来说，AEIS考试的成败很大程度取决于英语成绩的高低。而英语试卷中，分值最大的一部分就是作文。今天小编就分享一个技巧：时间表达方法。

　　常规方式（首次出现）

　　如果是全文第一次出现时间，则无需特别变化，按照原文的方式直接陈述出来即可。

　　1. 单个时间的时候，用in

　　The number of Australian kangaroos was 56 million in 2002.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量在2002年是5600万。

　　2. 单个时间，但是要强调其为起点或者终点的时候，分别用since/ from … onward 和 until/ by

　　The number of Australian kangaroos had increased since 2002.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量从2002年开始上升。

　　The number of Australian kangaroos had increased until 2002.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量直到2002年都在上升。

　　3. 两个时间的时候，用from… to…/ between … and …

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased from 2002 to 2012.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量从2002年到2012年都在上升。

　　4. 时间段的时候，用for/ during/ over/ in

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased over the decade from 2002 to 2012. 澳大利亚的袋鼠数量从2002年到2012年的十年都在上升。

　　同一对象，不同时间

　　当某一个对象，需要连续描述多段时间的不同变化时，我们可以采取下面的方法：

　　1. This was followed by + 变化（名词）：紧随其后的（变化是）…

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased gradually from 33 million in 2002 to 38 million in 2007. This was followed by a sharp decrease to 26 million in 2012.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量从2002年的3300万逐步上升到2007年的3800万，紧随其后的是一个快速的下降，在2012年的时候只有2600万了。

　　2. 接下来的xx年：in the following/ succeeding/ next xx years

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased gradually from 33 million in 2002 to 38 million in 2007. It sharply decreased to 26 million in the following five years.

　　中文翻译同上。

　　3. 在刚开始的/ 最后的xx年

　　There was a considerable increase in the initial five years from 33 million to 38 million.

　　刚开始的五年数据变化很快，从3300万到3800万。

　　…It sharply decreased to 26 million in the final five years.

　　（不论前面怎么变的），最后的5年，数据下降到了2600万。

　　4. 在第xx个xx年

　　如果题目给的时间段正好比较整（10年/ 15年/ 20年等），可以按照自己的需求（一般是5年或者10年）切等分为几段。

　　In the first decade, the figure sharply rose to 38 million, but the situation was reversed inthe second decade, when it gradually declined to only 26 million. The final decade didnot see any noticeable change.

　　第一个十年，数据飞涨到3800万，但是中间十年回落到2600万，最后十年数据没啥明显变化。

　　5. 持续到了接下来的xx年前：the situation continued until

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased gradually from 33 million in 2002 to 38 million in 2007. This situation continued until 2012.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量从2002年的3300万逐步上升到2007年的3800万，这个数据保持到了2012。

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased gradually from 33 million in 2002 to 38 million in 2007. The rising trend continued until 2012, when it finally reached 40 million.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量从2002年的3300万逐步上升到2007年的3800万。上升的趋势持续到了2012年，数据最终达到了4000万。

　　不同对象，相同时间

　　如果前后两个不同的对象需要进行描述，但是他们的时间又是一样的时候，没有必要重复再写一次相同的时间，可以用下面几个方法：

　　1. 在相同的时间 / 时间段：for the same period/ in the same year

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased from 2002 to 2012. For the same period, the number of Australian koalas decreased.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量在2002到2012上升了，但是考拉的数量在同样的时间段里面却下降了。

　　2. 同样的时间段见证了…（变化）：the same period had witnessed … trend in …

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased from 2002 to 2012. The same period had witnessed a decreasing/ an opposite trend in the number of Australian koalas.

　　澳大利亚的袋鼠数量在2002到2012上升了，但是考拉的数量在同样的时间段里面却下降了。

　　3. 一般连词：but / and / meanwhile

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased from 2002 to 2012, but the number of Australian koalas decreased. 澳大利亚的袋鼠数量在2002到2012上升了，但是考拉的数量在同样的时间段里面却下降了。

　　所有时间

　　如果需要描述的时间段覆盖题目所给的全部时间，咱们可以这么说：

　　1. for the whole period/ time span

　　The number of Australian kangaroos increased for the whole period. 澳大利亚的袋鼠数量在整段时间里面都在上升。

　　2. for the time recorded/ given/ provided

　　For the time recorded, the number of Australian kangaroos increased. 澳大利亚的袋鼠数量在整段时间里面都在上升。
